2 Social Announcements for April 2nd and April 8th – Take a look!

April 1st, 2010 (Last modified: April 1st, 2010)

Hey fellow NYU Ballroom-ers,

We have two exciting opportunities for you to hang out with your ballroom friends without wearing high heels, latin pants, a ton of makeup and hair gel!

Here are the events:

EVENT #1: Wiffle Ball – Friday, April 2nd at 12:30pm
What: Wiffle Ball in Stuy Town (19th and 1st ave)
Where: Meet at Washington Square Park to walk over
When: Washington Square Park at 12:30 or Stuy Town at 1pm
Why: Because it will be 75 degrees and sunny!

Wiffle ball, for those who don’t know, is baseball played with a plastic bat and ball (and it doesn’t hurt like a baseball would), so no helmets are required. Stuy Town has ballfields (really roller hockey rinks with fences) and it’s always a great time. It will also be our webmaster’s (Rick Halmo) birthday, and he loves this stuff, so come join him tomorrow!

EVENT #2: Social Outing At SoHo Billiards! Thursday, April 8th at 8pm
What: Shooting pool at reserved tables at SoHo Billiards
Where: Houston Street and Mulberry
When: Thursday, April 8th, from 8-10pm
Why: Because it’s awesome

Enjoy a night of billiards with your friends (no experience necessary) at SoHo Billiards. We have 4 tables reserved, so we will be able to hold 16 people.

Cover charge: For our night of mayhem at SoHo Billiards, all we ask of you is a $5 cover charge. That’s two hours of billiards action with your friends for the cost of a coke per hour. Not too shabby.

To reserve your spot: please contact Rick Halmo at rick.halmo@gmail.com with the subject heading “Billiards spot” and supply your full name in the body of the email so he can put you on the list. The RSVP list will start immediately and will be first come, first served.

Hope to see you all there!
